INDIANAPOLIS (March 18, 2017) – Round 11 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship is in the books and was a great outing for the entire MicroBilt PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki team. The week kicked off with some early morning press interviews with local media outlets on Thursday morning, followed by participation in one of the biggest dealer signings to date this season at Westfield Powersports in Westfield, IN on Friday evening. Fans from all over the state came to meet and get autographs from their favorite riders from most of the major motorcycle manufacturers – including our own Yoshimura Suzuki rider, Ronnie Stewart. It was a packed house filled with music, fun, giveaways, and plenty of excited fans.

In addition to hosting 16 clients for a premier Monster Energy AMA Supercross fan experience, MicroBilt PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki Racing had the opportunity to host a special family from the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers. Our guest of honor, Alana, is 14-year-old brain cancer warrior and survivor. Accompanied by her family, Alana was shown a world-class supercross experience and had the opportunity to get a behind the scenes look into the operation of MicroBilt PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki Racing as well as spend time with rider, Ronnie Stewart.

When it was time to drop the gate, the #606 of Stewart charged hard and put out a great effort for Round 11 of racing. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider qualified in 29th with a qualifying time of 51.557 seconds – only 5.609 seconds behind fastest qualifier, Marvin Musquin. Stewart would go on to finish 17th in his heat race, 9th in his semi, and would round out the evening in 6th in the Last Chance Qualifier. Ronnie Stewart put forth a valiant effort in Indianapolis, and only narrowly missed earning a transfer spot to the Main Event by two finishing positions.

The soft Indianapolis dirt and large whoops sections made for a very challenging and ultimately very rutted track. However, due to the warmer-than-normal winter weather in Indiana this year, the dirt wasn’t as soft as we’ve seen in previous races where deep ruts became the most challenging element of the course. A great day of racing for MicroBilt PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki and we look forward to the progress Stewart continues to make as we head to Detroit’s Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, for Round 12 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross.
